Today, Feb. 02th was announced by the Staff, under the Official HP and her Twitter account, the creation of a new unit.

Fairies members, Miki (Shimomura Miki), Miria (Fujita Miria), Mahiro (Hayashida Mahiro) being all in junior high, a new unit called "M3" (emusuri/mthree) was formed!!

Moreover, the decision of the debut single release!
and all the information will be uploaded in the HP, so please stay tuned!!!

Will be the Ending theme of TBS tv show "Akko ni Omakase!"
from February, March to April. (?)

Update:

- Mthree's (M3) points are: "Pure," "Cute" and "Sexy." (by personality would be Miki, Mahiro and Miria, respectively)

- The Debut single will be released in three version:
① Limited Edition A (CD+DVD+M3's postcard) → Jacket A [AVCD-16340] ／1890 yens
② Limited Edition B (CD Only+Photobook) → Jacket B [AVCD-16341] ／1890 yens
③ Regular Edition (CD Only+M3's postcard) → Jacket C [AVCD-16342] ／1050 yens
※ DVD contain: MV + Making off.
※ Photobook: 28 pages.
※ Mthree's postcard: 9 types, 1 per jacket (randomly inserted)

- Akko ni Omakase! airtime: Sunday 11:45am to 12:54am

OMG that is so exciting!!!
I really like the name concept but it's kinda funny (albeit a little strange) how Momoka isn't in the group, but she's already the main person in Fairies, so this is a good chance to showcase the other three M's talents!
I wonder how this idea came up. And what kind of style will M3 have??

can't wait for their debut single! are they gonna form another subunit with the other members too? or are Momoka, Rikako, and Sora already a big part of the main group Fairies so they don't have to?

I'm very pleased with this unit.
I think the reason these three don't get lines in Fairies' songs is because their voices don't suit Fairies' "Cool" songs.
I may be wrong, but I feel that "M3" songs will be...cute and girly. I may be wrong~

I also think that Fairies' management is not happy with M3 voices. Maybe they put them in a different unit to make their singing improve, and then we will hear them sing in Fairies songs.

But what of the other M? Oh well...At least MikiMiria is in this so I have nay complaints ^^

As from what I just found "Akko ni Omakase!" is a variety show hosted by Wada Akiko since 1985 (wow) and the titled means "Leave it to Akko!"

So it's an old show.

Wow! A sub-unit sounds like loads of fun to me ^_^

You can't be true players in the idol industry without sub-units, after all!

I'm also hoping they will be on the cutesy/fun side (I'd rather bright-and-cheerful cuteness than pastel-and-girly cuteness, personally!) but I'm looking forward to finding out.

Panache! is formed of cosplayers, so it's kinda different, but still fits the "cute" type.
Thoughts, opinions of M3 if they're like Panache?

hmm...try thinking of it this way:
they're not really "apart" just because they have a new subunit. the purpose of subunits in groups is to display individual skills and talents of a more select group of people within the original group--here, Miki, Miria, and Mahiro. Subunits are used to try out different styles of music, fashion, dancing, etc.
Fairies is expanding its range, not separating the members for the sake of separating them.
and they will still be together cuz they're always gonna do Fairies songs as a whole group. M3 will just have its own songs.
